UNSPSC 10314108: Fresh cut pink medium gladiolus

Fresh cut bloom of the pink medium variety of gladioluses

UNSPSC 10314108 Fresh cut pink medium gladiolus is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local opportunities posted under it bear no substantive connection to the code's nominal scope. The source shows no active solicitations for fresh-cut gladiolus or related florals under this code. Of the four opportunities tagged to this Commodity, three involve hanging flower baskets and their design and maintenance (Los Alamos County), general plant procurement (City of Dallas), and educational supplies cooperative purchasing (Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative in Texas), while a fourth (DeKalb County, Georgia) addresses IT and low-voltage infrastructure for a tennis center reconstruction—a clear tagging mismatch unrelated to florals of any kind. None of these opportunities targets fresh-cut flowers as a line item or primary scope element.

The code shows little relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. A business development professional evaluating pursuit under this specific Commodity should treat the mismatch as a signal that either the code is rarely used by state and local agencies, or that opportunities nominally tagged to it reflect categorization errors rather than genuine demand for fresh-cut pink medium gladiolus. Verify directly with issuing bodies whether fresh-cut floral procurement is planned before investing resources in bidding capacity under this code.
