UNSPSC 10311606: Fresh cut giant allium

Fresh cut bloom of the giant variety of alliums

UNSPSC 10311606 Fresh cut giant allium is a Commodity code that shows minimal relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. The four posted opportunities bearing this code tag fall outside its nominal scope: Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative solicited a broad catalog discount vehicle for educational supplies; DeKalb County sought IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation for a tennis center reconstruction; Los Alamos County requested hanging flower basket design, installation, and maintenance with licensed nursery dealers; and the City of Dallas requested general plant purchases with no allium specification. None of these solicitations centered on fresh-cut giant allium as a distinct product line, nor do they suggest ongoing demand from state and local buyers for this commodity as a specialized procurement category.

The geographic spread of tagged opportunities spans Texas (Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative, City of Dallas), Georgia (DeKalb County), and New Mexico (Los Alamos County), but the mismatch between code assignment and actual scope indicates the code is not a reliable signal for business development targeting in state and local procurement right now. A firm pursuing allium sales to state and local bodies would be better served monitoring landscape maintenance, grounds management, and general horticultural procurement opportunities than relying on this Commodity code as an activity signal.
