UNSPSC 10311500: Fresh cut anthuriums

Fresh cut blooms of anthuriums

UNSPSC 10311500 Fresh cut anthuriums is a Class code that sits within a broader floral and plant taxonomy, but the recent solicitations tagged to this code show a sharp mismatch between the nominal scope and actual procurement activity. The source contains no opportunities for fresh cut anthuriums specifically. Instead, the tagged opportunities cover educational supplies catalog discounts, IT infrastructure reconstruction for a recreation facility, hanging flower basket design and maintenance services, and general plant purchases—none of which aligns with cut-flower procurement. The code shows no relevant recent activity for its stated commodity.

The geographic spread and issuing-body mix therefore reflect the mislabeled opportunities rather than legitimate demand under the code. Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative (a Texas education service center) solicited EDACT2628 for educational supplies; DeKalb County, Georgia posted an ITB for tennis center reconstruction; Los Alamos County, New Mexico issued RFP26-55 for hanging basket services with proposals due June 4, 2026; and the City of Dallas posted an informal solicitation for general plant purchases due February 3, 2026. A business development professional pursuing cut-flower supply contracts should not rely on this code's recent activity record and should verify the correct UNSPSC classification before responding to opportunities.
