UNSPSC 10252067: Live lavender lip phalaenopsis orchid

Live plant including the root ball of the lavender lip phalaenopsis orchids

UNSPSC 10252067 Live lavender lip phalaenopsis orchid is a Commodity code that does not align with recent state and local procurement activity in the source. The five most recent opportunities tagged under this code solicit IT and low voltage infrastructure installation (DeKalb County), landscaping and irrigation systems installation (Pasco County), coastal dune restoration with native plantings (Collier County), multi-year environmental planting and wetland maintenance services (Pinellas County), and generic plant purchases for municipal facilities (City of Dallas). Only the Dallas solicitation involves actual plant products; the others concern installation labor, site restoration, or specialized environmental services. The code name references a specific ornamental orchid variety, yet the posted opportunities show no demand for that commodity and instead reflect broad landscaping, environmental restoration, and general plant procurement work that should fall under different classifications.

The source presents no recent state and local opportunities for live lavender lip phalaenopsis orchids or similar specialty ornamental plants. The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the work actually being solicited suggests either miscoding at the point of opportunity posting or a code with minimal current purchasing activity among the state and local jurisdictions reflected in recent notices.
