UNSPSC 10231622: Live life pompon chrysanthemum

Live plant including the root ball of the life variety of pompon chrysanthemum flowers

UNSPSC 10231622 Live life pompon chrysanthemum (Commodity) does not align with the state and local procurement activity tagged under it. The recent opportunities in the source include IT infrastructure installation at a tennis facility reconstruction, roadside landscaping and irrigation, coastal dune restoration plantings, environmental wetland and stormwater management services, and generic plant procurement—none of which involve pompon chrysanthemums or the ornamental flower market the code nominally covers. The mismatch suggests either miscoding by the issuing bodies or an artifact in the tagging process; the code shows little relevant recent activity to guide procurement strategy.

The jurisdictions posting under this code span Florida counties (DeKalb County Georgia, Pasco County, Collier County, and Pinellas County), Texas cities (Dallas), and a range of notice types (IFB, ITB, RFP, informal solicitation). Representative solicitations include Pasco County's IFB KM-26-047 for Ridge Road landscaping and irrigation installation due April 14, 2026 (contract ceiling $120,000); Collier County's Pelican Bay dune plantings Quick Quote due March 13, 2026; and Pinellas County's five-year RFP for environmental planting, monitoring, and maintenance services due July 29, 2025. None of these opportunities correspond to the commodity code's stated scope, indicating this code is not a useful targeting vector for vendors in the ornamental flower supply segment.
