UNSPSC 10226100: Live solomons seals

Live plants including the root ball of solomons

UNSPSC 10226100 Live solomons seals, a Class code, does not align with the state and local procurement activity tagged under it. The recent solicitations are for IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation (DeKalb County), landscape and irrigation installation (Pasco County), coastal dune restoration planting (Collier County), environmental planting and maintenance services (Pinellas County), and general plant purchases (City of Dallas). None of these opportunities involve live solomons seals as a distinct commodity. The code shows little relevant recent activity; the disconnect between the code's nominal scope and the actual work solicited suggests either a misclassification in the opportunities or a code designation that does not meaningfully describe current state and local buying patterns in this space.

The issuing bodies spanning the recent opportunities include county governments (DeKalb, Pasco, Collier, Pinellas) and a city (Dallas), with work spread across Georgia and Florida. Response dates ranged from February 3, 2026 (City of Dallas plant purchase) through July 29, 2025 (Pinellas County's five-year environmental services RFP). Without a clear commodity match, a firm evaluating this code should verify whether live solomons seals themselves are actually being procured by state and local bodies, or whether the code assignment reflects a broader landscaping or horticultural materials category that the recent opportunities do not support.
