UNSPSC 10226089: Spathiphyllum wallasii

Spathiphyllum wallisii (Peace lily) Spathiphyllum wallisii is the most common variety in the species. Also called peace lily, Madonna lily, spathe flower, or white sails, the popular houseplant has creamy-white flowers on the end of a long stem. The spathe turns a whitish-green as the plant matures.

UNSPSC 10226089 Spathiphyllum wallasii is a Commodity code that names a single ornamental plant species, yet the recent state and local opportunities tagged under this code show no relevant activity purchasing the plant itself. Instead, the solicitations involve soil stabilization grouting, rapid-response construction, window replacement, MRO supplies, vactor services, chemical-resistant parts, landscaping and irrigation work, building systems upgrades, and miscellaneous municipal services — none of which align with horticultural procurement for Spathiphyllum or live plant material. The code exhibits a fundamental mismatch between its nominal scope and actual buying activity in the marketplace.

The source records contain no state or local opportunities actively procuring Spathiphyllum wallasii, ornamental plants, or plant nursery stock under this code. Watch this code for any future horticultural or landscape plant solicitations from municipalities or special districts; absent such activity, UNSPSC 10226089 does not represent a material procurement opportunity in state and local markets today.
