UNSPSC 10223202: Live floribundi orange chasmanthe

Live plant including the root ball of floribundi orange variety of chasmanthes

UNSPSC 10223202 Live floribundi orange chasmanthe, a Commodity code, shows no recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The five most recently posted opportunities under this code span IT infrastructure installation (DeKalb County), landscape and irrigation installation on roadways (Pasco County), coastal dune restoration planting (Collier County), multi-year environmental restoration and maintenance services (Pinellas County), and general plant purchases (City of Dallas) — none of which concern floribundi orange chasmanthe or the horticultural commodity the code names. The mismatch suggests the code may be a classification artifact in state and local procurement systems rather than an active category for targeted sourcing.

The issuing bodies are geographically dispersed across Florida (DeKalb County Georgia, Pasco County, Collier County, and Pinellas County), with one solicitation from Texas (City of Dallas). The recent opportunities involve counties and cities procuring landscaping, erosion control, environmental restoration, and general nursery stock through IFBs, RFPs, and informal quotes, with deadlines ranging from February through July 2026. None of these procurements reference the specific plant species or commercial horticultural products the code describes, indicating that state and local governments are not currently sourcing live floribundi orange chasmanthe through this code or are routing such purchases through higher-level plant or landscaping commodity codes instead. Firms evaluating this code should verify classification alignment with their target jurisdictions before investing in pursuit strategy.
