UNSPSC 10217913: Live brasilianum hippeastrum

Live plant including the root ball of the brasilianum variety of hippeastrum

UNSPSC 10217913 Live brasilianum hippeastrum is a Commodity code that does not see relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The five opportunities posted under this code between January and June 2026 involve IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation, landscaping and irrigation systems, coastal dune plantings, environmental restoration services, and general plant purchases — none of which match the botanical scope of the hippeastrum commodity. The mismatch suggests either systematic miscoding by the issuing jurisdictions or a data-classification error in the underlying procurement records.

State and local governments acquire plants through these jurisdictions — DeKalb County (Georgia), Pasco County (Florida), Collier County (Florida), Pinellas County (Florida), and the City of Dallas (Texas) — across construction, landscape management, environmental remediation, and general supplies categories. However, the actual solicitations tagged under this code address infrastructure, irrigation installation, dune stabilization with native species, multi-year environmental services, and commodity plant purchasing, none of which aligns with hippeastrum as a procured item. Until issuing bodies correctly tag hippeastrum-specific solicitations, this code generates no actionable signals for business development.
