UNSPSC 10216900: Live matthiola incana or stock flowers

Live plant including the root ball of matthiola incana stock flowers

UNSPSC 10216900 Live matthiola incana or stock flowers is a Class code that nominally describes cut flowers in the botanical family Brassicaceae, but recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not reflect ornamental floristry purchasing. The three opportunities posted since June 2026 span landscape construction, nursery plant supply contracts, and information-technology infrastructure — none involve matthiola incana or cut-flower procurement. The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its stated scope.

The most recent opportunities include a landscape and irrigation construction project from Pasco County Board of County Commissioners (IFB, due October 6, 2026), a nursery plants and products supply contract from the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida (ITB, due July 29, 2026 — a re-bid on an as-needed basis covering annuals, plugs, trees, and grass seed), and an information-technology infrastructure installation project from DeKalb County in Georgia (ITB, due July 13, 2026). The mismatch between the code's stated product line and the work actually tagged to it suggests either miscoding at the issuing-body level or that state and local procurement offices are using this code as a catch-all for plant and horticultural products more broadly. Activity is concentrated in Florida and Georgia, with no other states represented in the recent record.
