UNSPSC 10214918: Live spuria iris

Live plant including the root ball of the spuria variety of irises

UNSPSC 10214918 Live spuria iris (Commodity) does not align with recent state and local procurement activity under this code. The source contains no opportunities for live spuria iris or related ornamental plant varieties. Instead, the recent solicitations tag native coastal dune plants (sea oats, railroad vine, sea purslane, dune sunflower), landscape and irrigation installation, environmental restoration plantings, and generic plant procurement — none of which fall within the specific scope of iris sourcing. The code appears to show little or no relevant recent activity in state and local contracting.

The four opportunities posted between January and June 2026 span unrelated work: DeKalb County's IT and Low Voltage Infrastructure rebuild at a tennis center in Georgia (ITB, due July 13, 2026); Pasco County's landscaping and irrigation installation along Ridge Road in Florida ($120,000 IFB, due April 14, 2026); Collier County's coastal dune restoration using native plants in Florida (Quick Quote, due March 13, 2026); Pinellas County's five-year environmental planting and monitoring services in Florida (RFP, due July 29, 2025); and the City of Dallas's generic plant purchase (Informal Solicitation, due February 3, 2026). None of these solicitations target live spuria iris as a commodity. The code's narrow scope — a specific iris cultivar — appears inactive in the state and local contracting market captured here.
