UNSPSC 10214506: Live sunset pink heather

Live plant including the root ball of the sunset pink variety of heathers

UNSPSC 10214506 Live sunset pink heather (Commodity) does not reflect the actual work state and local governments are currently soliciting under this code. The recent opportunities tagged to this code span coastal dune restoration, landscaping and irrigation installation along roadways, environmental planting and invasive species management at wetlands and stormwater facilities, and general plant procurement — none of which specifically target heather varieties or match the narrow commodity scope the code name suggests. The mismatch indicates the code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its intended product category.

The issuing bodies in the recent-opportunity block include counties (DeKalb County, Georgia; Pasco County, Florida; Collier County, Florida; Pinellas County, Florida) and a city (Dallas, Texas), with geographic activity concentrated in Florida and one entry in Georgia and Texas. Representative recent solicitations include Pasco County's IFB for landscaping and irrigation installation along Ridge Road (2.95 miles, due April 14, 2026, $120,000 not-to-exceed contract), Collier County's Quick Quote for coastal dune plantings with native species including sea oats and dune sunflower (225,000 square feet, due March 13, 2026), Pinellas County's RFP for five-year environmental planting, monitoring, and maintenance services (2025–2030, due July 29, 2025), and the City of Dallas's Informal Solicitation for plant purchase (due February 3, 2026). The procurement activity reflects ecosystem restoration, regulatory compliance, and maintenance-focused work rather than ornamental heather supply.
