UNSPSC 10213917: Live orange gerbera

Live plant including the root ball of the orange variety of gerberas

UNSPSC 10213917 Live orange gerbera is a Commodity code that does not align with the state and local procurement activity currently posted under it. The recent opportunities tagged to this code reflect landscaping and irrigation installation, coastal dune restoration with native plantings, environmental remediation services, and general plant procurement—none of which involve live orange gerbera flowers or cut flowers of any kind. The mismatch suggests a taxonomy coding error in one or more of the sourcing jurisdictions rather than meaningful market activity in the nominal commodity itself.

The five recent opportunities span Florida counties (Pasco, Collier, and Pinellas), Georgia (DeKalb County), and Texas (City of Dallas), with issuing bodies including county commissioners, municipal procurement offices, and county environmental divisions. Representative solicitations include Pasco County's IFB for landscaping and irrigation installation on Ridge Road (due April 14, 2026, with a contract not-to-exceed of $120,000), Collier County's Quick Quote for coastal dune restoration plantings using native species (due March 13, 2026), and Pinellas County's RFP for environmental planting and invasive plant removal services (due July 29, 2025). The code shows no meaningful recent activity in live orange gerbera procurement and should not be pursued based on the current opportunity stream.
