UNSPSC 10212904: Live ice king daffodil

Live plant including the root ball of the ice king variety of daffodils

UNSPSC 10212904 Live ice king daffodil is a Commodity code that does not align with the recent state and local contract opportunities posted under it. The five opportunities on record span IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation, landscape and irrigation systems, coastal dune restoration planting, environmental mitigation and native plant services, and general plant purchasing — none of which involves live ice king daffodils or any specific daffodil variety. The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and actual procurement activity suggests either a classification error in the source data or that the code is not regularly used for state and local purchasing in its intended commodity category.

The recent opportunities do show activity across multiple Florida jurisdictions (DeKalb County, Georgia; Pasco County, Florida; Collier County, Florida; Pinellas County, Florida) and the City of Dallas, Texas, with work ranging from single-event landscaping and dune restoration projects to multi-year environmental services contracts. However, these solicitations appear to be tagged with the daffodil code in error rather than reflecting genuine demand for that specific commodity. Unless the source data undergoes correction or additional opportunities emerge that actually procure ice king daffodils, the code does not represent a meaningful pursuit area for business development at this time.
