UNSPSC 10212811: Live plume yellow celosia

Live plant including the root ball of the plume yellow variety of celosias

UNSPSC 10212811 Live plume yellow celosia (Commodity) does not appear in recent state and local procurement activity. The five most recent opportunities tagged to this code involve IT and low-voltage infrastructure reconstruction, roadway landscaping and irrigation installation, coastal dune restoration planting, environmental site management and native plant installation, and generic plant purchases—none of which specifically procure live plume yellow celosia or match the narrow scope of this Commodity code. The opportunities reflect broader landscaping, environmental restoration, and plant procurement activity at the Family or Class level rather than this specific ornamental species.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the actual solicitations suggests that state and local buyers either misclassify or do not use this Commodity code for targeted procurement. Buyers pursuing dune restoration (Collier County), roadside median planting (Pasco County), environmental mitigation (Pinellas County), or general plant supply (City of Dallas) tag opportunities to higher-level UNSPSC codes or use plant-category codes that accommodate multiple species rather than drilling to a single cultivar. If your firm supplies live plume yellow celosia, monitor broader plant supply and landscape installation codes at the Family or Class tier, and track environmental restoration and native plant initiatives in Florida and similar coastal or wetland-adjacent jurisdictions, where recent activity concentrates.
