UNSPSC 10212809: Live plume purple celosia

Live plant including the root ball of the plume purple variety of celosias

UNSPSC 10212809 Live plume purple celosia is a Commodity code that does not align with the recent state and local procurement activity posted under it. The five recent opportunities in the block—ranging from IT infrastructure installation at a tennis center in DeKalb County, Georgia, to landscape and irrigation design in Pasco County, Florida, to coastal dune restoration in Collier County, Florida, to environmental planting and monitoring services in Pinellas County, Florida, and to generic plant purchases by the City of Dallas, Texas—show no meaningful activity in live plume purple celosia supply or installation. The code appears to be a misclassification artifact; the opportunities reflect broader landscaping, environmental restoration, irrigation, and general plant procurement rather than the specific ornamental flowering plant the code nominally covers.

Recent opportunities do demonstrate that state and local governments across Florida and Texas are actively soliciting landscape design, native plant installation, dune restoration, and environmental remediation services through ITBs, RFPs, RFQs, and informal solicitations with response windows of days to weeks. However, none of these procurements specifically name live plume purple celosia or target ornamental celosia varieties. The code shows little relevant recent activity and should not be pursued based on the evidence presented.
