UNSPSC 10212649: Live posey vermeer calla

Live plant including the root ball of the posey vermeer variety of callas

UNSPSC 10212649 Live posey vermeer calla (Commodity) does not align with the work actually being solicited under this code by state and local governments. The recent opportunities tagged to this code include IT infrastructure installation at a tennis center, landscaping and irrigation system construction along a county road, coastal dune restoration using native plantings, environmental site remediation with native plant installation and monitoring, and general plant procurement — none of which involve the specific ornamental flower product the code nominally describes. The mismatch suggests either systematic miscoding in the state and local procurement databases or that this particular UNSPSC designation is used inconsistently or not at all for the actual commodity it names.

State and local buying activity across the opportunities shown spans county departments of public works and innovation technology, municipal parks and purchasing offices, and county environmental management divisions across Georgia, Florida, and Texas. The opportunities range from landscaping and irrigation IFBs posting in spring 2026 through environmental services RFPs and informal solicitations for plant materials, with response dates between February and July 2026. However, given the fundamental disconnect between the code's stated commodity and the actual work being procured, this code warrants close monitoring for either corrected future solicitations or clarification of its intended use in state and local procurement systems.
