UNSPSC 10212304: Live galpinii or baubles berzelia lanuginosa

Live plant including the root ball of the galpinii or baubles variety of berzelia lanuginosas

UNSPSC 10212304 Live galpinii or baubles berzelia lanuginosa is a Commodity code that maps poorly to recent state and local procurement activity. The three most recent opportunities tagged under this code span landscape and irrigation construction for a county median project, nursery plants and landscaping products for a city, and IT infrastructure installation for a recreation facility — a mismatch that suggests either inconsistent coding practices or a code used as a catch-all for tangentially related categories. The nominal code name references a specific ornamental plant species, yet the solicitations show state and local buyers purchasing broad categories of landscaping plants, irrigation system installation, and unrelated IT and low-voltage infrastructure work. This disconnect limits the code's utility as a forward-looking signal for the actual scope of work being procured.

The recent opportunities come from Florida and Georgia, with no concentration apparent across multiple issuers. The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners posted an IFB for median landscape and irrigation construction along Little Road (response due October 6, 2026), while the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida posted an ITB for nursery plants and products including annuals, potted plants, plugs, grass seeds, and trees on an as-needed basis under a one-year contract commencing October 1, 2026 with four renewal options (response due July 29, 2026, now closed). The third opportunity, a DeKalb County ITB for DeKalb Tennis Center reconstruction (response due July 13, 2026), is unrelated to the code's stated scope. Without additional recent opportunities clearly aligned to the code name, pursue activity is limited to firms actively bidding landscape plant supply or median construction contracts in Florida and Georgia.
