UNSPSC 10212102: Live moby dick asclepia

Live plant including the root ball of the moby dick variety of asclepias

UNSPSC 10212102 Live moby dick asclepia, a Commodity code, does not map to the recent state and local solicitations tagged under it. The code's nominal scope bears no apparent relationship to the landscaping, irrigation, coastal dune restoration, environmental planting, or general plant-purchase work appearing in the recent-opportunities block. The source contains five recent postings from Florida counties, Georgia county government, and a Texas city—all involving grounds maintenance, native plant installation, environmental restoration, or nursery stock procurement—none of which align with the code's name or definition.

The mismatch between code designation and actual work being procured suggests either a data-entry error in the state and local procurement systems or a misclassified code assignment by issuing bodies. State and local procurement offices occasionally tag opportunities with codes that do not reflect the services or goods actually solicited. Because the code shows no relevant recent activity when matched to its stated scope, vendors pursuing landscape installation, dune restoration, environmental remediation, or plant supply should verify the correct UNSPSC family or class codes through the issuing bodies' procurement portals rather than relying on this commodity code for pipeline development.
