UNSPSC 10151817: Anise seeds or seedlings

Seed of herb plant of the apiaceae family

UNSPSC 10151817 Anise seeds or seedlings is a Commodity code that nominally describes agricultural seed and propagation material, yet the recent state and local procurement activity indexed under this code shows no alignment with that scope. The single recent opportunity on file—DeKalb County's ITB 2026-076-ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center in Decatur, Georgia—concerns information technology and low-voltage infrastructure installation within a recreational facility, including conduit, cabling, terminations, testing, and documentation. This work falls entirely outside the agricultural commodity described by the code's name and suggests a cataloging or indexing mismatch rather than genuine procurement demand for anise seeds or seedlings through state and local channels.

The code shows no recent relevant activity. The single posted opportunity is unrelated to the code's nominal scope, indicating either a data-entry error in how the opportunity was tagged or a fundamental disconnect between the UNSPSC classification and actual state and local buying patterns in this commodity family. Business development professionals evaluating this code should treat the lack of aligned opportunities as a signal that state and local demand for anise seeds or seedlings—if it exists—is not being actively solicited under this designation, or is being routed through different procurement channels or code classifications altogether.
