UNSPSC 10151506: Pea seeds or seedlings

UNSPSC 10151506 Pea seeds or seedlings is a Commodity code covering vegetable and edible crop seed procurement by state and local correctional and agricultural operations. Recent opportunities under this code reflect procurement of seed varieties for institutional food production, though the actual solicitations show a broader scope than peas alone — the Texas Department of Criminal Justice has recently solicited for green bean seeds and fall vegetable seed crops more generally under related codes. The issuing bodies are primarily state correctional departments; TDCJ appears as a repeat buyer of edible crop seeds in June 2026, using competitive IFB processes to establish purchase orders for institutional food programs.

Activity concentrates in Texas, where the Texas Department of Criminal Justice has posted multiple seed procurements in May and June 2026. Representative recent opportunities include TDCJ IFB IW252545 for fall vegetable seed crops (due June 9, 2026) and TDCJ IFB IW251789 for green bean seeds (due June 18, 2026); both use the TDCJ Procurement Portal via Bonfire Hub for submission and require vendor registration through Euna Procurement. The solicitations do not specify quantities, delivery schedules, contract terms, or estimated values. No recent opportunities appear in other states or from other issuing bodies in the available records.
