UNSPSC 10141602: Yokes

UNSPSC 10141602 Yokes, a Commodity code, covers the supply of yokes — mechanical coupling or mounting assemblies used in industrial equipment, agricultural machinery, vehicles, and construction equipment. State and local governments purchase yokes primarily through their public works departments, transportation authorities, and maintenance facilities for fleet and infrastructure repair and replacement. The code encompasses yokes of various materials and designs, including U-bolts, clevis yokes, universal joints, and similar fastening or articulation components. Purchasing patterns reflect routine equipment maintenance cycles and capital equipment renewal, with orders typically issued through competitive sealed bids (IFB) or request for quote (RFQ) processes rather than longer-form procurement.

The source provided contains no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to UNSPSC 10141602 Yokes. Without posted solicitations, geographic concentration and issuing-body patterns cannot be reliably characterized. Business development professionals should monitor relevant cooperative purchasing vehicles and state procurement portals for activity under this code, as yokes are commodity items often procured through standing schedules or periodic low-dollar purchases that may not generate individual RFP or RFQ notices.
