UNSPSC 10101514: Primates

UNSPSC 10101514 Primates, a Commodity code, covers live primates supplied for educational and research use. State and local solicitations under this code are sparse; the recent record shows one active opportunity from an educational cooperative purchasing entity. Educational Service Center Region 4 (ESC 4) in Texas issued an ITB (TAMUITB265094, due August 31, 2026) for a master order cooperative purchasing contract supplying live laboratory animals and related products at discount from list prices to public school districts, charter schools, and educational service centers statewide. The scope encompasses live animals and associated supplies and materials for instructional laboratory settings, with individual purchases made by participating districts according to their respective budgets and instructional needs and no aggregate funding amount specified.

The geographic activity is limited to Texas based on available records. ESC 4 is the primary issuing body in the recent opportunities block, serving the education sector through cooperative purchasing. The remaining recent submissions in the dataset do not constitute active procurement opportunities for primates — one is a test notice, one is a departmental relocation announcement, and one covers equestrian facility operations unrelated to this code's scope. The scarcity of recent activity suggests low current demand for primates procurement at state and local level, or that such purchases may be aggregated under broader laboratory animal codes rather than this Commodity category.
