NIGP 91781: Rent, Other Space Offsite

NIGP 91781 Rent, Other Space Offsite is an Item code under which state and local governments procure space leasing and facility rentals outside their primary administrative locations. Recent solicitation activity under this code is sparse; the most recent state and local opportunity on record does not match the code's taxonomy — Valencia College issued a Quote Request (QR 2026-06) on April 13, 2026, for subject matter expertise in curriculum development for semiconductor and photonics education programs, a consulting and educational-services engagement rather than facility rental or space leasing. This mismatch suggests either miscoding in the state and local procurement system or a drift in how the code is being applied in practice. The procurement does require vendors with a mandatory minimum of three years of experience in workforce education strategies and semiconductor or microelectronics education; the contract period runs from September 1, 2025, through December 1, 2025, with potential extension by mutual agreement. Deliverables center on curriculum assessment and development, hands-on learning module evaluation, and industry-resource recommendations — functions aligned with professional services or educational consulting rather than space procurement.

The source provides no additional recent opportunities that align with the core scope of NIGP 91781 (facility rental and offsite space leasing). Without a representative sample of actual space-leasing solicitations across multiple jurisdictions, geographic concentration and issuing-body mix cannot be reliably characterized. State and local procurement under this code warrants direct market research through individual procurement office portals and cooperative purchasing vehicle postings to identify active demand.
