NIGP 82590: Waterers (Except Concrete Troughs)

NIGP 82590 Waterers (Except Concrete Troughs) is an Item code covering concrete sidewalk and pedestrian surface work, as demonstrated by recent state and local solicitations. The scope includes concrete sidewalk removal, excavation, subgrade preparation, base installation, forming, concrete placement with control joints, ADA-compliant finishing, and associated site restoration—all components of pedestrian infrastructure maintenance and replacement projects. Issuing bodies soliciting under this code span municipal development authorities and county transportation departments, with activities ranging from apartment complex sidewalk replacement to bridge and ancillary infrastructure work.

Recent opportunities reflect moderate geographic spread and project scale variation. The City of Madison Community Development Authority posted an IFB for concrete sidewalk removal and replacement at Gay Braxton Apartments with bids due July 17, 2026, requiring fixed, all-inclusive proposals and Davis-Bacon wage compliance; Orange County, Florida posted an IFB for full replacement of two bridges (Wallington Drive Bridge No. 754190 and Egret Way Bridge No. 754187) with an estimated project cost of $6,202,246.05 and bids due July 7, 2026, submitted electronically via OpenGov e-Procurement Platform with Addendum #3 Revision posted June 17, 2026. Activity concentrates in Wisconsin and Florida, with local vendor preferences and affirmative action requirements typical of municipal postings.
