About NIGP 68590
NIGP 68590 Turkey Saddles is an Item code covering specialized saddle equipment designed for turkey production and handling operations in agricultural and poultry-management contexts. State and local governments procure turkey saddles primarily through departments of agriculture, cooperative extension services, and vocational agricultural education programs that support livestock producers and farm training initiatives. The saddles themselves—lightweight frames fitted to turkey backs to facilitate breeding, reduce injury, and improve animal welfare in controlled breeding environments—represent a narrow but essential input in commercial and educational poultry operations.
The source provided contains no recent state or local contract opportunities under this code. Activity in this Item code is likely sparse, reflecting the specialized and limited scope of turkey saddle procurement within state and local government purchasing.
