NIGP 64128: Gift Wrap Paper Including Tissue Paper and Ribbons, Environmentally Certified Products

NIGP 64128 Gift Wrap Paper Including Tissue Paper And Ribbons, Environmentally Certified Products is an Item code covering decorative wrapping materials and associated supplies that state and local governments procure for administrative use, seasonal operations, and gift packaging in public facilities. The code encompasses gift wrap paper, tissue paper, and ribbons, with a specification for environmentally certified products, reflecting emerging procurement preferences for sustainable materials in state and local purchasing. State and local issuing bodies—including state departments, counties, municipalities, school districts, and special-purpose districts—use this code when acquiring supplies for employee recognition programs, holiday packaging, public events, and facility operations where gift wrapping or decorative paper goods are needed.

No recent state and local contract opportunities are present in the source material for this code. The absence of posted solicitations suggests limited contracting activity under NIGP 64128 in the current procurement cycle, or that opportunities, when issued, are consolidated into broader supply agreements or cooperative purchasing vehicles rather than standalone RFPs, RFQs, or ITBs. Vendors pursuing this category should monitor state and local cooperative purchasing catalogs and periodic supply-schedule updates, particularly around seasonal procurement periods when municipal and school district demand for gift wrap and tissue paper typically rises.
