NIGP 57848: Holography Apparatus and Accessories (Excluding Lasers)

NIGP 57848 Holography Apparatus And Accessories (Excluding Lasers), an Item code, covers specialized optical and imaging equipment used in state and local government operations. Based on recent solicitations, state and local buyers under this code procure law enforcement equipment packages that may include optical and holographic imaging technologies for investigative, forensic, and tactical applications. The code serves county governments, municipal police departments, and cooperative purchasing organizations that aggregate demand across multiple jurisdictions. Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government service cooperative, has emerged as a significant procurement vehicle, consolidating purchasing power across Washington state counties and participating entities nationwide to establish standardized contracting for law enforcement equipment solutions.

Recent activity centers on cooperative purchasing initiatives designed to serve broad public-sector markets. Sourcewell issued RFP #061626 in May 2026 with a June 16, 2026 response deadline, seeking law enforcement equipment vendors to support Franklin County, Grant County, Grays Harbor County, Chelan County, Yakima County, and thousands of governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, and tribal governments throughout the United States and Canada. The solicitation does not identify set-aside designations, incumbent vendors, or specific award values in available documentation. Activity appears concentrated in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest regions where cooperative purchasing frameworks consolidate multi-state demand, though the scope extends nationwide through participating-entity addenda structures that allow flexibility in how established contracting solutions deploy across jurisdictions.
