NIGP 54516: Drills, Stationary, Electric Powered: Arbor, Press, etc.

NIGP 54516 Drills, Stationary, Electric Powered: Arbor, Press, Etc., an Item code, encompasses electric-powered stationary drilling equipment—including arbor drills, press drills, and related drilling machinery—that state and local governments acquire for equipment maintenance, repair, law enforcement tactical operations, public works shops, and school district facilities. The code sees solicitation activity primarily through cooperative purchasing vehicles and multi-jurisdictional procurement initiatives rather than single-agency buys, with recent RFPs advertising equipment procurement to hundreds of potential participating entities across state and local governments, school districts, tribal governments, and nonprofits.

Sourcewell, the State of Minnesota's local government unit and service cooperative, issued RFP #061626 on May 12, 2026 for Law Enforcement Equipment, with proposals due June 16, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. Central Time. The solicitation encompasses Franklin County, Grant County, Grays Harbor County, Chelan County, and Yakima County in Washington state, along with thousands of participating governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, and tribal governments throughout the United States and Canada. Vendors must submit proposals exclusively through the Sourcewell Procurement Portal at https://proportal.sourcewell-mn.gov; no bid documents are available through Washington's Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) system. Contact Mari Vielma at rfp@sourcewell-mn.gov or 888-894-1930 for general procurement inquiries. The resulting contract(s) will be available for future utilization through participating addenda, establishing a framework agreement for law enforcement equipment solutions across multiple jurisdictions.
