NIGP 52072: Shoe Shine Brushes and Cloths

NIGP 52072 Shoe Shine Brushes and Cloths, an Item code, covers the procurement of brushes and cloths specifically designed for shoe cleaning and maintenance. State and local governments buy these supplies for facility maintenance operations, custodial departments, and specialized cleaning services where shoe care and floor preparation are routine tasks. The issuing bodies soliciting under this code span state departments, county facilities management offices, and municipal maintenance divisions that maintain public buildings and grounds. School districts and transit authorities also purchase these supplies for their maintenance and janitorial programs.

Recent state and local procurement activity under this Item code is not prominently documented in current solicitation databases, suggesting limited or infrequent purchasing volume at the jurisdictional level. When these supplies are procured, they typically appear as line items within broader custodial or facilities maintenance RFQs or ITBs rather than as standalone solicitations, making activity difficult to track as a discrete commodity stream.
