NIGP 44588: Vises, All Kinds

NIGP 44588 Vises, All Kinds is an Item code under which state and local governments procure bench vises, machine vises, pipe vises, and related clamping equipment used in maintenance, fabrication, and assembly work across facilities and operations. The code captures both standalone vises and integrated vising systems for metalworking, woodworking, and general mechanical repair. Purchasing agencies include state departments of transportation, corrections, and fleet maintenance; county public works and facilities management offices; city maintenance departments; and school district maintenance and vocational education programs. Vise procurement typically occurs through small-dollar IFBs and RFQs issued by individual jurisdictions or cooperative purchasing vehicles, often bundled with broader tool and equipment requirements rather than as standalone procurements.

The source provided contains no recent state or local contract opportunities for this code and does not identify specific issuing bodies, geographic regions, or representative solicitations. Without posted RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, or ITBs in the available record, no current activity can be characterized. Prospective vendors should monitor cooperative purchasing catalogs, state department facilities management RFQs, and county maintenance-equipment solicitations to surface demand signals under this code.
