NIGP 43524: Detergent-Disinfectant, Phenolic Type, Liquid

NIGP 43524 Detergent-Disinfectant, Phenolic Type, Liquid is an Item code under which state and local governments procure cleaning and disinfection products for facility maintenance and water treatment applications. The recent opportunity activity under this code reflects procurement of chemical treatment supplies rather than phenolic detergents per se; Pasco County, Florida issued an RFQ on June 3, 2026 for large copper sulfate crystals and liquid copper sulfate on an as-needed basis, indicating that jurisdictions are buying specialized chemical compounds alongside or instead of traditional phenolic-type disinfectants for specific operational needs such as algae control or water conditioning.

Geographic activity under this code appears concentrated in Florida based on the most recent solicitation. Pasco County's indefinite-quantity RFQ (RFQFP261004, due June 26, 2026) represents the primary current opportunity signal; the county intends to contract with one or more vendors under this arrangement. The scope suggests that vendors pursuing work under this code should expect to supply both solid and liquid formulations and be prepared to respond to as-needed ordering rather than fixed-volume contracts. No estimated contract value, term length, evaluation criteria, or set-aside information is available from the posted opportunity.
