NIGP 37067: Tinning Equipment

NIGP 37067 Tinning Equipment, an Item code, covers soldering and tinning machines and supplies used to coat metal surfaces with tin or tin-lead alloys — equipment state and local governments procure for maintenance, repair, and fabrication work across facilities, transit systems, and public works departments. The code captures both standalone tinning machines and associated consumables such as solder, flux, and related hand tools. Issuing bodies soliciting under this code include county maintenance facilities, city public works departments, and school districts with on-site equipment repair capabilities; the code also sees activity from regional transit authorities managing vehicle and infrastructure repair shops.

No recent state and local contract opportunities under NIGP 37067 appear in the available procurement records. The absence of recent solicitation activity suggests limited current demand across state and local jurisdictions for formal tinning-equipment procurements, though routine purchases may occur through existing cooperative purchasing agreements or standing vendor relationships rather than published RFPs or ITBs.
