School districts are active under this code; Hillsborough County Public Schools recently posted an ITB for custodial equipment covering 18 line items with detailed manufacturer specifications and allowances for equivalent brands. The solicitation structure permits vendors to propose cost-plus-markup items (not to exceed 15 percent) and catalog discounts, and requires bid submission in spreadsheet format with acknowledgment of issued addenda.

Geographic coverage and recent activity are limited in the available record. Hillsborough County Public Schools (Florida) posted ITB 26131-MST on September 21, 2026, with a response deadline of June 17, 2026; the solicitation incorporated Addendum 26131ITBMST issued May 28, 2026, and required vendor registration completed by May 20, 2026. Vendors declining to bid faced potential removal from HCPS' qualified bidder list. The source reflects activity in Florida school district purchasing but does not provide insight into activity across other states, geographic regions, or issuing-body types beyond the single school district solicitation.
