NIGP 32072: Screws, Machine

NIGP 32072 Screws, Machine is an Item code under which state and local governments procure fastening hardware for maintenance, repair, construction, and manufacturing operations. Machine screws—threaded fasteners designed for use in pre-threaded holes or with nuts—represent a commodity with steady baseline demand across public agencies. Recent state and local opportunities under this code are sparse; the source contains no posted solicitations naming this Item code explicitly.

Without current procurement visibility in the source material, characterization of issuing-body mix, geographic concentration, and representative recent opportunities is not supported. Buyers pursuing this commodity should monitor cooperative purchasing agreements and standing supply contracts through state procurement offices and regional consortia, which typically aggregate machine screw demand across multiple departments and subordinate jurisdictions rather than issuing discrete solicitations.
