NIGP 25771: Recycled Defense System Equipment and Accessories

NIGP 25771 Recycled Defense System Equipment And Accessories is an Item code covering the purchase and redistribution of surplus or returned defense-related equipment and component parts by state and local public bodies. The code captures procurement activity around secondhand or refurbished military-grade systems, subsystems, and accessories that state agencies, municipalities, and special-purpose districts repurpose for public safety, emergency response, infrastructure, or administrative operations. This includes items ranging from communications gear and vehicle components to electronics, optics, and structural assemblies originally designed for defense applications but available through surplus or donation channels.

The source material provided contains no recent state or local contract opportunities under this code, making it difficult to characterize current issuing-body mix, geographic concentration, or active solicitation patterns.
