NIGP 05582: Splash Guards

NIGP 05582 Splash Guards, an Item code, covers automotive repair parts and supplies that state and local governments procure to maintain and operate fleet vehicles. Recent solicitations show that jurisdictions are buying a broad range of automotive components—from brake parts, filters, wiper blades, and lighting to bearings and fluid management systems—through supply agreements that emphasize volume pricing, Just-in-Time delivery, and integration with fleet management systems. Issuing bodies span counties, school districts, and other local authorities managing vehicle fleets, with Brevard County and the School Board of Sarasota County appearing as recent active buyers in Florida.

Brevard County Purchasing Services solicited fleet inventory management services (Solicitation B52621, ITB, bid opening February 25, 2026) to supply automotive parts supporting a fleet of 1,114 assets, requiring daily or emergency two-hour delivery, on-site parts-room staffing, and system integration with the county's iMaint maintenance platform, against a recent-usage baseline of $776,706 in Fiscal Year 2024-25. The School Board of Sarasota County issued a one-year supply agreement bid (Solicitation 260124, IFB, due February 12, 2026) for automotive and light truck repair parts from 19 specified manufacturers including AC Delco, Bosch, Motorcraft, and Monroe, with F.O.B. destination delivery to its Transportation Garage at 301 Old Venice Road, Osprey, Florida and 48-hour stock-order fulfillment windows. Both solicitations were posted in early 2026 and show activity concentrated in Florida, with no geographic spread beyond the immediate recent record.
