NIGP 02242: Haying Equipment Parts

NIGP 02242 Haying Equipment Parts, an Item code, covers replacement and repair components for hay harvesting and handling machinery that state and local governments procure for agricultural operations, parks maintenance, and grounds-keeping programs. The scope includes belts, blades, bearings, hydraulic hoses, chains, and other wear items and assemblies for balers, mowers, rakes, tedders, and related implements. State and local issuing bodies—including county agricultural departments, parks and recreation authorities, and public works divisions—source these parts through competitive solicitation when budgets or operational requirements trigger formal procurement.

The source contains no substantive recent contract opportunities under this code. A single posting from Williamson County, Texas (July 2026) is a relocation notice for the county purchasing department and does not describe any procurement of haying equipment parts. Without additional recent solicitations across state and local jurisdictions, geographic concentration and representative current opportunities cannot be characterized from the available record.
