About this vehicle
The Industrial & Commercial Supplies and Equipment contract provides a comprehensive procurement vehicle for acquiring industrial and commercial supplies purchased on a repetitive or emergency basis. The contract encompasses sixteen product categories including building supplies, cleaning, electrical, HVAC, hand tools, lighting, maintenance, material handling, motors and power transmission, personal safety, pneumatics, power tools, production tools, pumps and plumbing, and site safety and security. Authorized contractors must offer products in at least five categories and maintain a minimum inventory of 15,000 products overall. This vehicle enables authorized users to consolidate purchases from multiple product lines through a single contractor order, reduce inventory through rapid fulfillment (within 24 hours for stock items), and facilitate order pickup at designated locations. No minimum order requirements apply, and authorized users may negotiate lower pricing on large quantities.
The New York State Office of General Services administers this statewide contract for all state agencies and political subdivisions, including cities, towns, villages, school districts, SUNY, and CUNY. The contract period extends from March 22, 2023, through March 21, 2028, with 14 prime contractors including major suppliers such as W.W. Grainger, Fastenal Company, MSC Industrial Supply, F.W. Webb Company, Cooper Electric Supply, and Global Equipment Company, supported by approximately 200 authorized resellers and distributors throughout New York State. The contract maintains geographic coverage across four designated districts within New York and includes required diversity participation goals of 15% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), 15% Women Business Enterprise (WBE), and 2% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB). The contract operates on a fixed-price structure with contractor-specific discounts applied to published list prices, and all purchases are subject to New York State Finance Law "OGS or Less" provisions.
