THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE FOLLOW-ON WIDEBAND REMOTE MONITORING SENSOR (WRMS) SUBSYSTEM PROGRAM IS TO ALLOW THE U.S. ARMY SPACE AND MISSILE DEFENSE COMMAND - ARMY FORCES STRATEGIC COMMAND (USASMDC - ARSTRAT) AND THE 53RD SIGNAL BATTALION THE ABILITY TO IDENTIFY OR MITIGATE BOTH INTENTIONAL AND UNINTENTIONAL INTERFERENCES BY PERFORMING SPECTRUM MONITORING. THE WRMS SUBSYSTEM NEEDS MAINTENANCE AND MODIFICATIONS INSTALLED ON A ROUTINE BASIS TO MAINTAIN INTEROPERABILITY WITH NOT ONLY EXISTING INTERDEPENDENT SUBSYSTEMS, BUT ALSO NEW SUBSYSTEMS IN THE PIPELINE.
