About this IDV

The U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command awarded a single-award IDIQ to Hidden Water Inc. on September 21, 2010, with a ceiling of $7.5 million and final completion on September 30, 2015, for identification, removal, remediation, processing, and disposal of low-level radioactive mixed and hazardous materials and wastes.

Hidden Water Inc. is an Alaska Native Corporation and minority-owned, self-certified small disadvantaged business. The contract carried no set-aside designation at the IDV level.

Place of performance for task orders spans multiple domestic military installations, Department of Defense depots, naval facilities, and federal laboratories, including Keyport, Washington; Dover Air Force Base, Delaware; Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri; Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico; Fort Rucker, Alabama; Anniston Army Depot, Alabama; Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Tobyhanna Army Ammunition Plant, Pennsylvania; and numerous other Army, Navy, and Air Force sites nationwide. Processing and brokerage work centralized at Eastborough, Kansas.

The IDIQ funded radiological oversight services, including broker dispatch to federal facilities for profiling, surveying, packaging, marking, labeling, manifesting, and transporting radioactive commodities and mixed waste streams to JMC-approved processing and disposal sites. Deliverables included radiological investigations, hazardous waste characterization, Department of Transportation shipping documentation, and remediation and decommissioning support at Army and Air Force installations.

Task orders issued under this IDIQ from 2011 through 2015 addressed time-sensitive radioactive material disposition at multiple customer offices, including projects at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Surface Warfare Officers School Great Lakes, Army medical centers, National Guard facilities, and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Recent orders included radiological oversight at Keyport, Dover AFB, Wichita Falls, Whiteman AFB, and Rock Island Arsenal. One task order, valued at $481,343.19, addressed inspection and transport of unwanted radioactive materials from multiple Navy sites across the eastern United States.
