About this IDV

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center awarded a single-award Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), valued at up to $9.9 million, to Alpha Space Test And Research Alliance, LLC, a woman-owned and minority-owned small business. The purpose of this IDC is to provide integration, launch, and on-orbit operations support for materials science experiments and technology demonstrations through the Materials ISS Experiments Flight Facility (MISSE-FF) program aboard the International Space Station.

Under this IDC, NASA has issued multiple firm-fixed-price delivery orders to Alpha Space, ranging from hundreds of thousands to over $1 million, to manifest, integrate, and operate specific experiments and payloads related to spacecraft materials characterization, nanocomposite 3D printing, dust shielding, and other technology demonstrations. The work is primarily performed in Colorado and Texas, supporting NASA's broader goals of expanding human space exploration capabilities through in-space research and development. No set-aside designations were used for the delivery orders issued under this IDC.
