CAE USA Inc. is delivering training systems and simulation services to the Naval Air Systems Command under the multiple award Indefinite Delivery Contract NAVAIR Training Systems Contract III (NAVAIR TSC III). The IDV has a potential value of $2 billion and was awarded in 2011 to support the Navy's aviation training requirements.
Under the IDV, CAE USA has received two task orders to date. A $117.2 million order in 2014 for the MH-60R/S Technology Refresh and Procurement of Simulators program to supply simulators and support the Navy's fleet of MH-60 helicopters. A second $2,500 order was awarded at contract award as a minimum guarantee. Both orders were fixed price contracts carried out in Texas and Florida, respectively, for work through 2020.
The original IDV aims to provide the Naval Air Systems Command flexibility in procuring a range of aviation training systems, hardware, and support services to support the Navy's training missions. CAE USA delivers simulation and training solutions as the prime contractor, leveraging locations and small businesses when required to meet set-aside provisions under the orders received.
