The Department of the Navy's Military Sealift Command awarded a single-award indefinite delivery contract to Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc., a foreign-owned, for-profit manufacturer, for the procurement of diesel engines, components, and maintenance services in support of the Navy's Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) fleet. The contract has a potential value of $4,805,968.50 and does not utilize any set-aside designations. Through a series of firm fixed price delivery orders, Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc. will provide services such as 12,000 hours of maintenance and inspections on the USNS Spearhead, 6,000 and 4,000 hour maintenance on the USNS Trenton, and 8,000 hour maintenance on the USNS Millinocket. The work will be performed at various locations, including in the U.S., Croatia, Singapore, and Bahrain. As a provider of engines, components, and services for marine, energy, defense, and aerospace applications, Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc. will leverage its expertise to ensure the readiness of the Navy's EPF fleet in support of sealift operations. The indefinite delivery contract allows the Military Sealift Command to efficiently procure diesel engine parts, maintenance, and technical services from Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc. on an as-needed basis through issuance of firm fixed price delivery orders. The contracted scope covers a broad range of sustainment activities, such as troubleshooting, inspections, and overhaul services, required to keep the EPF ships operational. By utilizing a single-award indefinite delivery vehicle, the Navy can streamline its procurement of these critical propulsion system components and services from an experienced provider without the need for redundant competition.
