The Department of the Navy, acting through the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV), has awarded multiple delivery orders under the OPNAV N9 Professional Technical and Administrative Services indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle to Synchron, LLC, a for-profit Subchapter S corporation. These delivery orders, with a combined ceiling value exceeding $31 million, task Synchron with providing a range of professional, technical, and engineering services in support of various naval programs and initiatives.
The services Synchron is contracted to deliver include analytical support for the Navy's N9 directorate, engagement and air programs support, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) support, strategic communications, and labor base management and analytics. The work is primarily performed in the Washington, D.C. and Virginia areas, with a mix of cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contract types. While most of the awards do not utilize set-aside designations, Synchron has demonstrated the ability to secure contracts in both competitive and small business set-aside environments.
