Added: May 03, 2016 12:45 pm The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition Directorate, in partnership with United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), is releasing a DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) to Industry for comments. Engagement with Industry enables USTRANSCOM to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. USTRANSCOM is seeking fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft that will improve the capability and capacity of the Department of Defense (DoD) to transport low-volume, low-frequency movements of passengers and cargo within the Continent of Africa, provide Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC), and augment Government Command & Control (C2) staffing. Estimated aircraft capabilities will range from 6-20 passengers and 2000-5000 pounds of cargo. Vendors wishing to offer comments to USTRANSCOM should respond no later than May 18, 2016, at 4:00PM CST by e-mailing the Point of Contact. Industry comments may be used by USTRANSCOM to shape the acquisition strategy.This announcement is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of any kind. USTRANSCOM is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals for this requirement. This notice should not be construed as a commitment of any type by the Government to take or not take any action. Please note USTRANSCOM will not be responsible for any costs incurred by any entity which provides and/or attempts to provide information in response to this RFI.
