About this IDV

The University of Pittsburgh has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to provide preclinical models of infectious diseases. The $146.3 million single-award IDC, which runs through 2031, enables NIAID to rapidly initiate new preclinical studies in support of its mission to research, treat and prevent infectious diseases, with a focus on areas like pandemic preparedness and emerging threats. Under this IDC, Pitt is responsible for work across multiple task areas including small animal models, non-human primate models, animal replacement models, and specialized reagent generation.

Additionally, the University of Pittsburgh has been awarded two firm fixed-price Delivery Orders valued at $122,754.24 and $110,445.12 under the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Cancer Genome Atlas Program Tissue Purchase IDC. These contracts, which do not have set-aside designations, task Pitt with recovering tissue samples and data from various cancer types to support the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) program, which is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The place of performance for these contract awards is Pittsburgh, PA.
