The Department of the Air Force awarded an indefinite delivery contract under the Eglin Wide Agile Acquisition Contract (EWAAC) multiple award contract vehicle to The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. The EWAAC has a potential value of $47 billion to be awarded over ten years without a set aside for rapid acquisition capabilities across science, technology, research, development, testing, evaluation, production, sustainment and modernization. A $1,000 firm fixed price delivery order to Draper Laboratory requires a post-award conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts by October 22, 2021. Originally, the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center sought information through a December 2020 Request for Information with no set aside. Responses were to describe experience in weapons concepts, development, testing, evaluation, production and sustainment involving classified information. The subsequent multiple award IDIQ contracts estimated at $95 billion over ten years aim to provide rapid response capabilities for Air Force weapons systems and programs managed by AFLCMC, SOCOM, AFRL and AFNWC. Places of performance include contractor and government facilities.
