The General Electric Company was awarded a single award, indefinite delivery contract by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Aeronautical Systems Center to provide F110 engine production support on a global basis. The contract has a potential value of $1.7 billion and a period of performance through November 2025.
Under the contract, GE is delivering F110 engines and components through multiple firm fixed price delivery orders to sustain the Air Force's F110 engine fleet. Delivery orders valued between $48-389 million are providing engine hardware from GE's Wyoming, Ohio facility as well as over 60 subcontractors. Parts are being delivered in support of the F-15EX aircraft program and COVID-19 defense industrial base initiatives through at least 2026. Subcontractors include major aviation companies supplying additional engine systems and materials.
The contract aims to maintain domestic industrial capabilities for F110 production through the delivery of engines, spare parts and maintenance support to the Air Force. No set-aside provisions were used. Performance is occurring at GE's Ohio location and supporting the Air Force's fleet of aircraft relying on the F110 engine globally.
