Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER)
Added: Jan 11, 2016 7:54 am The AFSC/PZIOC Operational Contracting Brach at Robins AFB, GA will solicit for Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineer Requirements (SABER) Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This will be a Multiple Award Contract (MAC) with minimum three (3) awardees. The Request for Proposal is anticipated to be available 21 January 2016. The Request for Proposal will close 30 Calendar days after RFP is released. The Performance Period for this project will be from date of award through (12) twelve months with (4) four option periods of (12) twelve months each. The small business size standard is $36.5M in accordance with the NAICS for this effort. Construction projects for Robins AFB GA shall be competed among the three (3) SABER awardees through individual task orders on an as- needed basis. Projects shall be in support of real property maintenance, repair, alteration, and/or new construction. The jobs shall include tasks in a variety of trades such as carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavation, interior electrical work, steam fittings, plumbing, asbestos, lead and mold abatement, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, welding and mechanical. More specifics will be found in the Statement of Work (SOW).This acquisition competition will be restricted to qualified/eligible 8(a) firms with a bonafide office located within SBA Region IV (Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee). The Request for Proposal will be available by electronic transmission only at www.fbo.gov. Potential contractors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award; see webpage www.sam.gov. All proposals shall be valid for 245 calendar days after the Request for Proposal closing to be considered responsive. The Contracting Officer must have access to verify the offeror's status in SAM. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Magnitude of Construction Projects, the price of this project is anticipated to be $30M over the life of the contract. The following is for informational purposes only and not as a guarantee of future work. The current SABER has had a total of 245 orders awarded and a total obligation amount of $19,140,471.18 during the time period from 3 June 2011 to 06 January 2016. This effort is anticipated to be awarded 03 June 2016.It is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. The successful contractors will be selected using Tradeoff procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest priced offeror. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Sections L & M of the solicitation.
